By Emma Jones, ABC NewsThe restaurant, in the city of Vicenza, has been forced to close, after bullets were fired at the building.
“Vito’s Pizza in Vicenza was forced to evacuate as bullets were pelted into the building,” the company said on Facebook.
“The restaurant will be closed until further notice.
We apologize to the staff and patrons of Vito and their families.”
A man was taken to hospital after being shot outside the restaurant, which has been the target of an attack before.
The gunman was reportedly shot outside, but is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Vito and his family were evacuated to the nearby church, where they were reunited with their daughter and her husband.
