NEW YORK — Dominos Pizza Online has announced that its pizza delivery has been earning more than $1 million for the second straight day, according the company’s website.
The company is in the midst of a surge in online business, which is contributing to the company being able to deliver pizzas on a day-to-day basis.
Domino Pizza Online delivered a total of 1,543 pizzas and 6,716 pies in the past 24 hours, according a blog post by CEO Robert R. Martell on Tuesday.
The blog post included a picture of the pizza delivery in progress.
This is Domino Pizza’s largest daily delivery to date, with over $1M delivered so far in 2018, Martell said in the post.
Martell added that the company is now at a pace that would allow it to deliver pizza within two weeks of its delivery starting, but he cautioned that it was too early to call the delivery a success.
Last week, Domino told CNN that the increase in traffic was due to a “growing customer base and increased online engagement.”
The company has been seeing a surge of traffic to its website and YouTube channel, which was the most visited online store for Domino’s in its first 24 hours of operation.
